Udaipur, March 15, 2025 - The weather has taken a sudden turn. Yesterday, March 14, rain and hailstorm continued in many parts of the State for the second straight day. This was owing to the impact of the western disturbance in the region. Rainfall was reported early in the morning in several cities while Jhunjhunu, Jaipur rural, Sikar, Alwar, Pilani and Karauli districts experienced hailstorms. The rains led to a drop in the maximum temperature by 5 degrees.

According to the Jaipur weather office, today and tomorrow, rain will continue in many districts of Rajasthan. A Yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning for today in multiple districts like Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Sikar, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jodhpur, Nagaur and Sri Ganganagar. Light rain is expected in the afternoon in Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur divisions and the Jodhpur region.

Hailstorms damaged wheat, gram, mustard and other crops in several areas including Leekhwa, Sujdola, Bangothri Khurd, Bangothri Kalan, Sardarpura, Chhapra village and nearby areas.

Meanwhile, across the country several states experiencing unexpected weather changes. Apart from Rajasthan, Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana also witnessed showers, while Jammu and Kashmir recorded fresh snowfall.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in Delhi and NCR for today and tomorrow accompanied by gusty winds, which might bring a slight drop in temperatures.
