Udaipur is witnessing a mix of mild and heavy showers from past few days this monsoon.  The long awaited curve of monsoon finally hit the city and brought a smile to the farmers in the adjoining villages and of course, on those of Udaipurites.

“Statically, Udaipur received 49.8 mm rain on 10^th Aug, 5.4 mm on 7^th Aug and 9.0 mm on 6^th Aug, 2012”, says Ashok Babel, Ex. Engg., Water Deptt.

Today also it is a rainy day as its still drizzling in many parts of the city, and the data of rainfall is yet to be taken.

The outskirts of city are already packed with tourists and localites whereas on the negative side a few areas also witnessed water-clogging during the rains.

Everyone though, is hoping for Fatehsagar to overflow, but that needs major rainfall, for which we are already looking forward.
