The monsoon has officially retreated from Rajasthan over a week ago, but the rain hasn't stopped yet. Due to the activation of a western disturbance, several districts received light to heavy rainfall. Dabok in Udaipur recorded the highest rainfall with nearly five inches (119 mm). After heavy rain in Udaipur, the gates of Fateh Sagar Lake had to be opened.
With this, winter has also started making its presence felt in the state. The Meteorological Department stated that due to eastern winds, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in some parts of Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur divisions.
The rain may continue in some areas of Udaipur and Kota divisions on October 15. However, daytime temperatures are rising in many districts, with Ganganagar recording 38.2°C.
On Sunday, October 13,2024, Udaipur continued to experience rainfall. Reports of rain also came in from the Hadoti region, Dungarpur, and Sawai Madhopur.
