Rajasthan Weather: Rain, Hailstorm Alert in 21 Districts

Rajasthan weather changes as Western Disturbance activates; IMD issues double alert for rain accompanied by hailstorm and thunderstorm in 21 districts

Udaipur, Jan 27, 2026 – Dense fog and intermittent rainfall have impacted Rajasthan since Tuesday (January 27) morning owing to the activation of a new Western Disturbance. Udaipur, too, woke up to dense fog and weak sunshine. As the morning progressed, the sun managed to finally peep out through the cover.

Intermittent rainfall has been occurring since morning in several districts, including Jaipur. Rainfall was also recorded in Alwar, Sawai Madhopur and several other districts. Cloudy conditions persist in many areas.

Over the last 24 hours, minimum temperatures in most cities of Rajasthan have dropped below 10°C. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Fatehpur (Sikar) at 0.1°C. Sikar recorded 0.5°C, Nagaur 1.1°C, Dausa 1.4°C, Lunkaransar 1.7°C and Churu 2.7°C.

Udaipur recorded maximum temperature of 23.7°C over the past 24 hours, which is 2.1 degrees below normal. Minimum temperature over the past 24 hours was recorded at 12.9°C, which is 4.3 degrees above normal.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh update, releasing a double alert for rain accompanied by hailstorm and thunderstorm in 21 districts of the State over the next few hours.

An Orange alert for hailstorm and thunderstorm with rain in six districts including Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Sikar, Bharatpur and Dausa. Wind speeds may reach 30-40 km/hour.

A Yellow alert has been issued for rain with thunderstorm in 15 districts including Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Bundi, Alwar, Nagaur, Ajmer, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Tonk, Baran, Kota, Jhunjhunu, Bhilwara, Jhalawar and Dholpur.
