Rain, Hailstorms Hit Parts of Rajasthan
Udaipur remained cloudy and windy on Feb 18 owing to an active Western Disturbance; Rajasthan cities experienced intermittent rain and hailstorms
Feb 19, 2026 - Owing to the influence of an active Western Disturbance, Udaipur remained overall cloudy and windy on Wednesday (February 18). Several cities in Rajasthan experienced intermittent moderate-to-light rainfall from Tuesday night through Wednesday leading to a drop in temperatures again.
The maximum temperature recorded in Udaipur over the past 24 hours was 28.2°C while the minimum temperature was at 12.6°C.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a gradual dip in minimum temperatures of 2-4 degrees is likely over northwest India during the next 48 hours. Maximum temperatures are likely to fall by 2-4 degrees over the region during the next 24 hours. A gradual rise will be seen over the next two days and no significant change thereafter.
Rain with hailstorms were seen on Wednesday in Sikar, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Jhunjhunu, Bikaner, Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Ajmer and Phalodi. The highest rainfall was recorded in Nohar and Hanumangarh at 20 mm, while eastern Rajasthan cities such as Narayana and Jaipur recorded 27 mm. Winds were observed at speeds of 30-40 km/hr along with the rainfall in the districts.
The active Western Disturbance also had an impact on the weather in Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer and parts of the Kota division.
