Rain Halts but water supply continues

After days of consecutive heavy rainfall, the city is observing dry days starting yesterday.

Because of the heavy rainfall two days ago, the connecting water canals and rivers of Udaipur are sending enough water for the lakes to overflow soon.

As a result of good rainfall in the catchment area of the Udaipur region, Fatehsagar with a capacity of 13 feet, has reached 11.5 ft mark and is expected to overflow soon.

Sisarma has been flowing as per the expectations of the city dwellers with current flow mark of 3 ft 11 inch as a result of which, Lake Pichola is already full, while, Swaroop Sagar is overflowing by 3 inch.

Bada and Chhota Madar Dams are flowing 2 inches and 4 inches above the mark, respectively.

Nandeshwar channel is flowing over with 1 ft 10 inches.
