मावठ, the winter rain is a boon for the farmers growing wheat. The rabi crops like wheat, mustard and barley need winter rain so that the soil can absorb moisture in a better way hence resulting in a better crop quality.

There was light rain in Jaipur on the night of 25^th January and maximum temperature recorded was 21.6 degree as compared to 7.2 degree. Ajmer, Hanumangarh and Shekhawati also experienced rain and hail storm, too, in some places. As per the meteorological department, rain is likely to occur in some places today as well.

Udaipur experienced an early morning thunder and lightning followed by a light rain shower. Thunderstorms are likely to occur again. Being a National holiday, people are already on the streets to enjoy the weather as there is no more chill to prevent the vacation fun. Happy faces can be seen everywhere.
