Rain continued to shower its glory to the city of lakes. Though delayed, clouds splattered continuous downpour in major parts of Udaipur city and various area of the district today.

In last 9 hours (8:30AM-5:30PM) approximately 34.5mm rain has been recorded by the weather department at Dabok.

The weekends turned magnificent and crowd flocked to the countryside to enjoy the rain and greenery; picnic spots were over packed with locals and tourists during the weekend holiday.

“The city received 18.06mm rain in the last 24hrs, said B.S Meena, Assistant Meteorologist, Dabok”. Meena also told UT that the rainfall data recorded from 8:30AM today till 5:30 in the evening is whopping 34.4mm which is around 1.35inch rainfall in past 9 hours.

According to government weather sites, the city is very likely to come across more wet days, however the precipitation followed by thunderstorm rate will fall till next weekend.

It seems to have become the trend and probably the amendment in the natural sequence of weather, monsoon is due to give its best during August and early September (if we recall, the Udaipur flood situation in 2007 happened in the first week of September!).
