Yellow alert issued by IMD in Churu, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar and Bharatpur
Udaipur, February 26, 2025 – The city experienced sudden change in weather last evening with overcast skies and sudden winds. Going forward, the temperature in the State is expected to rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. After the intense heat and rising temperatures, a change in weather will occur from tomorrow, February 27, says the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). This is because of the activation of a new western disturbance from February 27.
Rains and storms are expected in seven districts of Rajasthan including Churu, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar and Bharatpur. IMD has issued a Yellow alert for these districts. In the last 24 hours, daytime temperature in Alwar, Sikar, Kota, Jodhpur, Churu, Ganganagar, Nagaur, Fatehpur, Dausa, Karauli, Ajmer and Jaipur rose by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius. In the western districts of the State, the temperature has crossed 35°C.
According to the weather office, yesterday’s maximum temperature in Udaipur was recorded at 30°C, and minimum at 12.8°C. The day before, on February 24 the maximum was 28.9°C, and the minimum was 13.7°C. Therefore, the daytime temperature increased by 1.1°C, while the night-time temperature fell by nearly 1°C.
