The city received much need shower spell today. After a fairly scanty monsoon so far, Udaipur may continue receiving rainfall over the next 24 hours. This development is owing to development of a low-pressure area in the region.

As per details available at skymetweather, there is a well-marked low-pressure area over Central Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas. This low pressure area will intensify into a depression into next 24 areas and will move in a southwestward direction towards Rajasthan.

This development will lead to moderate rains in cities like Udaipur, Banswara, Baran, Barmer, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Pratapnagar, Rajsamand and adjoining areas over the next 18 hours.

The rains will intensify after that and moderate to heavy rains may occur on 14-15 July.
