Rajasthan Weather: Rains Lash Several Districts

UdaipurTimes, Sept 12, 2026 - Monsoon in Rajasthan has again come knocking, perhaps for the last time before it finally retreats. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow alert for heavy rain in 29 districts of the State today, September 12.

There is forecast for rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning between September 12 and 16 across Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Udaipur and Ajmer divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in the Kota and Udaipur divisions and adjoining areas on September 13 and 14.

With the monsoon trough line passing through Sri Ganganagar, Jabalpur and the low-pressure area, rainfall activity was seen in Alwar, Baran, Bundi, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Karauli and Bharatpur districts on Friday, September 11. The highest rainfall was recorded in Kotkasim in Khairthal-Tijara district at 45 mm.

Udaipur city continues to see a dry spell causing the daytime temperatures to rise. On Friday, the mercury spiked by 1.2°C to reach 35.8°C.
