Monsoon activity in Rajasthan has slowed down considerably and conditions are likely to remain weak until September 11
Udaipur, Sept 9, 2026 - Monsoon activity in Rajasthan has slowed down considerably and conditions are likely to remain weak until September 11. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is less possibility of rainfall over the next three days. Clear skies and sunshine may result in the rise of daytime temperatures in several districts.
There is forecast for light rain in the eastern parts of the State from September 12 following a new low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal. The IMD has forecast rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm in Jaipur from September 11 to 13.
The normal date for withdrawal of monsoon from the State is September 17 and, as per the current conditions, this year the rainfall withdrawal process is likely to start from September 16-17.
Over the last 24 hours, three districts saw light rainfall with Pratapgarh in Alwar receiving 2 mm, Nirjharna in Dausa receiving 3 mm, Jurhera in Bharatpur receiving 11 mm while Kama recorded 10 mm of rainfall.
On Tuesday, September 8, Sri Ganganagar was the hottest at 39° C. Udaipur recorded maximum temperature at 32.5° C.
