Rajasthan Weather: Temperatures Cross 35°C in 15 Cities
IMD says monsoon trough to return to normal position, bringing increased rainfall activity to parts of Rajasthan from September 1
Udaipur, August 29, 2026 - Rajasthan is seeing dry weather conditions which has caused temperatures to rise coupled with bright sunshine. On August 28, the maximum temperatures exceeded 35° Celsius in 15 major cities of the State, including Jaipur, Tonk and Alwar, with Sriganganagar recording close to 40°C. This is because of a break in rainfall the past few days. However, as per the weather office, the monsoon trough is expected to return to its normal position in the next few days which may lead to an increase in monsoon activities in the State. But until August 31, Rajasthan is expected to remain mainly dry.
A new system is reportedly forming in the Bay of Bengal which is likely to increase precipitation activities and bring a fresh round of rain to eastern and northern Rajasthan over the next five days. According to weather forecast by the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, rain and thunderstorm is expected in some areas from September 1 to 3.
