Yellow Rain Alert for Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota and Ajmer
From September 8, there may be a reduction in rainfall activities in most parts of Rajasthan
Udaipur, Sept 3, 2026 - According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Jaipur, a well-marked low (WML) pressure system is located over the Bay of Bengal and likely to move towards parts of southern Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh over the next 24 hours. As a result. rainfall activity in Rajasthan is expected to intensify in parts of eastern Rajasthan in the next 3-4 days.
The monsoon trough is passing through Sri Ganganagar, Rohtak and the WML on Thursday, September 3. Rainfall was reported in Dholpur, Dausa, Behror-Kotputli and Alwar. Over the past 24 hours, several areas of Jaipur, Bharatpur and Karauli also received rainfall. The highest rainfall of 27 mm was recorded in Rupwas, Bharatpur, over the past 24 hours.
Light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Bharatpur, Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer and Udaipur divisions from September 4 to 7. A Yellow alert has been issued for rain in the Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions, as well as the Kota and Ajmer divisions and some parts of the Shekhawati region. Heavy rainfall is also possible at isolated locations. Bharatpur and Kota divisions are likely to receive heavy rainfall between September 5 and 7.
