Rajasthan: Western Disturbance May Bring Relief from Heat

Rajasthan may get relief from rising temperatures as a Western Disturbance may bring thunderstorms, gusty winds and light rain between March 14–15 and again around March 19–21

Udaipur, March 13, 2026 - The India Meteorological Department has forecast the activation of a new Western Disturbance over the region. This is likely to lead to partly overcast skies over the next 2–3 days which may cause temperatures to drop by 2–3 degrees providing relief from the overbearing heat.

On March 14–15, districts of Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur divisions, Shekhawati region and areas around Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh may witness light thunderstorms, gusty winds, light rain or drizzle at isolated places.

Another Western Disturbance is expected to become active between March 19 and 21, which may again bring thunderstorms and rainfall in some parts of the State.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, most cities recorded a drop in daytime temperatures. Over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature recorded in Udaipur was 37°C, which is 4.2 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature recorded was 14.9°C, which is 0.9 degrees lower than normal.
