Relief from Heat as Rain Drenches Udaipur

Udaipur, Aug 16, 2025 - The city was lashed by heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning yesterday, August 15. This brought much relief from the heat and humidity of the past few days. The minimum temperature in Udaipur today is likely to hover around 25°C, while the maximum temperature might reach 32°C. 

Going forward, Udaipur is forecast to receive rainfall until August 21, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The monsoon trough is currently passing through Bikaner, Kota, Damoh and Bilaspur, and a low-pressure area has formed over southern Odisha, the coastal areas of northern Andhra Pradesh, and the north-west-central Bay of Bengal. Owing to its influence, an increase in rainfall activity is expected in some parts of western Rajasthan from August 16 onward.

Rain is expected in parts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Kota divisions between August 16 and 21, and in parts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions between August 16 and 22.
