Udaipur Sees Sharp Drop in Min Temp on Dec. 29

Udaipur, December 30, 2024 - Udaipur experienced a sudden drop of minimum temperature yesterday, December 29, as the cloud cover cleared and cold intensified. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) the minimum temperature dropped sharply from 16°C to 8.2°C yesterday, a drop of 7.8°C in just one day. Similarly, the maximum temperature fell from 21.2°C to 20.7°C, a decrease of 0.5°C. The minimum temperature is still 0.3°C above average, but the maximum temperature is 3.2°C below average.

IMD has forecast clear weather for this week with a further drop in temperature. The minimum temperature in Udaipur today is expected to hover around 7°C while maximum temperature could go up 23°C. Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana are likely to see a drop in night temperatures by 3-4°C.

Parts of north India will see cold waves and fog from today, December 30. According to IMD, cold wave conditions are expected over Rajasthan from December 30 to January 2. Other parts of the country may see a gradual fall in temperatures in this week, as per IMD. Temperatures in central India may fall by 3-5°C while eastern parts of the country may see a fall in minimum temperatures by 3-4°C.
