Temperature graph goes higher-Protect yourself
Protect yourself from scorching heat, heat waves, sun stroke. Keep yourself hydrated.
Temperature is going higher and higher and the city is experiencing heat waves. On Sunday the temperature reached 42 degrees and tourists could be seen masked while moving around the city.
With this scorching heat, local public refrained to move out even in the evening. With maximum temperature at 42 degrees, minimum at 28 degrees it is suggested that everyone keeps themselves hydrated enough and be protected against sun stroke.
Heat wave was recorded at 25 km/hr which is way beyond normal. Normally wind’s velocity is 6 to 8 km/hr but it was three times higher on Sunday. Heat waves usually bring a lot of negative effect on health, hence it recommended that people stay indoors during the day and if moving out cannot be avoided then staying hydrated to the best of efforts is need of the hour.
With the growing heat, it has been demanded that school timings be changed to prevent the children from falling sick. It is all the more recommended that school duration should be shortened, for which an e-mail has been forwarded to Chief Minister.
Keep yourself well hydrated and well covered while moving outdoors. Head must be covered against the sun’s heat; children must be kept inside during the daytime, use protective skin creams and lotions to prevent sun burns. Do not stay empty stomach as that creates a negative effect on health with growing heat.
