Temperature Rises, Dry Spell Expected Across Rajasthan
Udaipur records a slight temperature rise after recent rainfall and cloudy weather; IMD forecasts dry conditions and increasing heat across Rajasthan over the next few days
Udaipur, March 23, 2026 - Udaipur saw a slight rise in temperature on Sunday (March 22) after 3-4 days of weather fluctuations with overcast skies and light rainfall. In the coming days, dry weather conditions and a further rise in temperature are expected in the city as the active Western Disturbance weakens.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 32.8°C, while the minimum was 16.2°C in Udaipur.
In other parts of Rajasthan, light rainfall accompanied by thunder was recorded in Jodhpur, Bikaner, Barmer and Shekhawati on Sunday. Temperatures also pushed up marginally with the highest daytime temperature recorded in Barmer at 35.2°C.
The IMD has forecast predominantly dry weather over the next 4-5 days across most parts of the State. However, rainfall is likely in the Shekhawati region on March 25.
