Temperatures Plunge by 4-5°C in Six Cities; Udaipur at 12°C

Snowfall in northern hills triggers sharp temperature drop across Mewar–Vagad

Udaipur, Nov 8, 2025 - A December-January-like chill has already begun to set in across Udaipur and the Mewar–Vagad region. Owing to snowfall in the Hindu Kush, Kashmir, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on November 3 and 4, cold and dry northwesterly and northern winds have brought a sharp fall in temperatures. On Friday, November 7, the maximum temperature in the city dropped marginally by 0.2°C to 22.8°C, while the minimum temperature fell further by 2°C, settling at 12.0°C.

Meanwhile, across the State temperatures plunged in just one night, dropping by 4 to 5 degrees Celsius in six cities. On Thursday, November 6 most cities recorded minimum temperatures between 18°C and 20°C, but by the next day mercury levels had fallen below 15°C everywhere.

Ajmer, Sikar, Churu, Nagaur, Dausa, and Lunkaransar were among the coldest areas. In Nagaur, the minimum temperature dropped to 6.7°C. The steepest fall was recorded in Dausa, where the temperature plummeted by 6.3°C, from 14°C to 7.7°C in a single night. Other recorded minimums were: Sikar 7.2°C, Ajmer 8.2°C, Churu 8.7°C and Lunkaransar 8.5°C.

According to the weather office, in the coming days, temperatures are expected to fall further, bringing more intense cold conditions.
