Rajasthan is under heavy rain alert. Udaipur administration is gearing up for rescue operations.

Mumbai region is facing heavy rainfalls since past few days. As per met department, monsoon is advancing towards north and is likely to cause heavy rain showers in South-east part of Rajasthan. All concerned officers have been directed to stay alert and conduct rescue operations as per need.

State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been instructed to stay extremely alert in regions of Kotda, Jhadol, Salumber and nearby areas which are about to experience heavy rainfall in the coming days. Civil Defence Department has also been issued directives to stay ready to deal with situations and provide necessary aid to the public. SDM and other administrative officers have been asked to stay within headquarters and look for relevant means to make people stay from areas of water flow like natural bridges, dams, rivers and all other possible danger points with water sources. 6 motor boats, other rescue vehicles and equipments are to be kept handy for rescue operations.

As per information available, rain recorded in various areas was as follows:

Udaipur city 18mm, Udaisagar 25mm, Vallabhnagar 60mm, Daya 35mm, Jaisamand 26mm, Som Kagdar 45mm, Kejad 42 mm, Rishabhdev 37mm, Kherwara 26mm and Semari 18mm.
