If one thing is missing from Udaipur being labeled as Switzerland of India, it is snow covered fields and hills. But the sudden and odd change in weather brought surprise to the Udaipurites as well as tourists.

Only 15 Km away from Udaipur, Iswal and other nearby areas received snow like hailstones that formed a thick layer, giving an impression of heavy snowfall in Udaipur.

UT reader Sharad Lodha sent photographs of people enjoying the Shimla-like view of vast fields and roads covered with hailstones, making the city look picturesque in white.

Many areas such as Gogunda, Mavli, Ranakpoor (Bali), Fatehnagar witnessed hailstorm early morning today and last night giving a beautiful view all around.

Forecasters say that the windy, slight rainy weather will continue over the weekend.
