Udaipur Feels the Bite of Winter as Mercury Dips Below Normal

IMD predicts dry weather for a week with minimal temperature change; Fatehpur coldest in State at 7°C

Udaipur, Nov 10, 2025 - Winter is gradually making its presence felt across Rajasthan. Cold winds blowing in from the northern hills have made even the daytime feel chilly. On Sunday, November 9, most cities recorded a rise in minimum temperatures by about one degree, while daytime temperatures dropped by about two degrees. The effects of snowfall are particularly noticeable in Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu districts of the Shekhawati region.

Around 10 cities in the State recorded night temperature below 10°C. Fatehpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 7.0°C. In Sikar, the minimum temperature was 7.5°C, which is 6.6 degrees below the average. In Vanasthali, the minimum temperature dropped by 4.7 degrees below normal to 9.9°C, while Jaipur recorded a minimum of 13.8°C.

In Udaipur, despite a slight rise in temperature on Sunday, the day remained 1 degree cooler than normal, while the night was 1.7 degrees colder than average. The daytime temperature rose by 0.6 degree to reach 28.8°C, and the night temperature increased by 1.8 degrees to 11.3°C. The average temperatures for November are 29.8°C and 13°C respectively.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), no major change in weather is expected over the next four days, and the spell of cold winds will continue.
