Udaipur Records March 24 Temperature 20 Days Early

Temperatures across Rajasthan rising rapidly with several cities crossing 35°C; Udaipur experiencing heat levels usually seen around March 24, nearly 20 days early

Udaipur, March 5, 2026 – Temperatures in the State are likely to rise over the next 2–3 days, leading to stronger daytime heat. On Wednesday, several cities across the State recorded maximum temperatures above 35°C.

The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Barmer at 38.8°C, while the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Pali at 8.8°C. In many places, the maximum temperature was recorded 4 to 6 degrees above normal while the night temperature is also 1.8 degrees higher than normal.

Udaipur has already recorded temperatures that were seen around March 24 last year, meaning that this year the heat has started showing its intensity about 20 days earlier than usual.

On Wednesday (March 4), the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.2°C, while the minimum temperature stood at 15.4°C. A day earlier, the maximum temperature was 33.9°C and the minimum was 15.6°C. This indicates that the daytime temperature increased by 1.3°C within 24 hours.

The Meteorological Department has said that the weather across Rajasthan is likely to remain dry for the next five days. The sky will remain mostly clear and daytime temperatures may gradually increase by 2 to 3 degrees. After that, temperatures there may drop by 3–4°C.
