Lakecity witnessed non-seasonal drizzle and medium rainfall beginning yesterday afternoon, which kept up a light tempo till today.

The drizzle, which started in many parts in and around the city in the afternoon yesterday, converted into a hailstorm for a while with loud thunderstorms.

The temperature took a dip and the scene continued till late in the afternoon today. According to online weather reports, today’s temperature in the evening was 16 degrees.

Roads were awash with the sudden rains. Though the rains surprised localities, many were seen enjoying the weather at city hotspots.

As recorded previously, February has seen one of the hottest days in the past 10 years and as the city was preparing to enter summers, this sudden mini-monsoon session forced everyone to pullout their winterwear.
