Untimely Rain results in Crop Drop

Sudden weather change, wind velocity on its high, the weather in Udaipur yesterday night jumped from hot to cold in no time.  As a result if high speed wind, tin shades shifted places, trees fell down and rain made it even worse on the road by making it slippery.

The biggest trouble due to this weather will be faced by the farmers now. The ‘crop drop’ situation has caused more of a loss to the farmers. Wheat ears have spread far. Farmers had great expectation from the wheat crop this year, but the rain and wind have spoiled it all.

After fast blowing wind on Saturday night, a number of areas faced a power cut which lasted long enough. Udaipur, Nathdwara, Mewal, Bambora, Kurabad, Kharsaan etc. areas faced high speed wind a light rain. Salumbar faced a power cut for long. Gudli, Fatehnagar, Kanod, Loonda, Jaisamand were also affected by rain and power cuts.

Though the change in weather has been welcomed by the common masses, yet we cannot rule out the agony of farmers. Destruction of crops is certainly the most troublesome thing for any farmer who gives all of himself in waiting to see his crops sway with life.
