A short spell of light to moderate rain in Udaipur brought about much needed relief from the scorching heat over the past few days.

The intermittent rain showers started about 3pm and last for about half an hour. Temperatures dropped significantly post the rains. Though this is a temporary relief, but a much needed one given that temperatures were flirting with the 43 degree celsius mark over the last week or so.

The current weather change is probably a side effect of the western disturbance and cyclonic circulations over Haryana that resulted in huge desert storms in norther Rajasthan and parts of northern India.
