A 10 year old boy was attacked by a crocodile in a village near Udaipur. The boy and his grandfather were out to graze animals on Thursday around 4:30 p.m. They were near an anicut full of water. When the boy stepped into it a crocodile suddenly attacked him, grabbed him by the neck and pulled him inside water. The croc crushed this little boy to death.

The grandfather was helpless and he shouted out to the villagers. Villagers who were busy working in their fields nearby rushed to the spot and tried to save the boy by throwing sticks and stones at the huge crocodile. It was then that the wild beast released the boy’s body and slipped underneath the water and moved out of sight.

The 10-year-old was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead by the medical team. Police has asked people to stay away from the anicut for some time as similar incidents have taken place in the past since 2005 when the anicut was constructed.
