A critical operation was conducted at Animal Hospital on Friday in which 80 Kg of polythene, blade, locks, nails, rubber and bolt was extracted from a cow’s stomach.

 

A critical operation was conducted at Animal Hospital on Friday in which 80 Kg of polythene, blade, locks, nails, rubber and bolt was extracted from a cow’s stomach.

The mind numbing operation took place for 4 long hours in which polythene was cut and extracted out of the animal’s body after which the cow is termed safe.

Deputy Director Dr. Lalit Joshi informed that corporator Ramesh Chandel admitted the cow in the hospital on 17th July who was operated on Friday by Dr. Mahendra Mehta, Suresh Jain, Himanshu Vyas, Shakti Singh, Anupama Dixit and team.

Few days back the cow had given birth to a calf but due to health problems; she could not feed it milk and hence, died. The general public is appealed to not to dispose food items or waste in polythene bags which can prove to be fatal for animals’ health.
