Bird Park to now replace Gulab Bagh Zoo in expense of Rs. 10 Cr

After the shift of zoo animals to Biological Park at Sajjangarh which is in the last stage, the Gulab Bagh Zoo will transition into a Bird Park of which preparations have begun.

After the shift of zoo animals to Biological Park at Sajjangarh which is in the last stage, the Gulab Bagh Zoo will transition into a Bird Park of which preparations have begun.

The transferring of zoo animals to the biological park is in the last stage where only bear is left; rest all has been shifted. CCF-Wildlife Rahul Bhatnagar said that the proposal plan of Rs. 10 Cr to convert Gulab Bagh into a Bird Park has been sent to the Central Zoo Authority. It is expected to be sanctioned soon.

For the Bird Park, cages will be bought to keep around 125 species of birds. For the time being, birds including Pelican, Flamingo, Emu, Painted Stork, Love Bird, Duck, Peacock and Parrot are living in the zoo.
