Around 40 kms away from Udaipur in Menar, rare Booted Eagle was witnessed by the nature lovers during their nature tip. Team members Uttam Pegu, Vijendra Prakash Parmar, Vikram Dodhiya and Saket Sarupriya witnessed this rare migrant raptor.

Anil Rodgers informed that although the bird is found in all over India, the sighting of this rare bird is quite less in Western parts.

He further informed that Menar is slowly emerging as a birding point. People from across the country are coming here for birding. Localite Umesh Menaria conversed with Uttam Pegu and told him that the local residents are happy about Menar being a famous spot for birding.

During the trip, Vijendra also witnessed Eurasian Curlew and Pacific Golden Plover which are possibly seen for the first time and captured in camera.
