Udaipur, April 13, 2026 - A crocodile was spotted on the roadside near Lake Pichola around 8:00 pm on Sunday (April 12), causing a stir in the area. Passersby recorded videos of the unusual sight, which quickly went viral on social media.
According to eyewitnesses, the crocodile was seen slowly walking near a wall along the roadside. The sudden appearance of the reptile at night left people in shock. Locals say this crocodile has been spotted several times before in and around Lake Pichola.
Experts believe the lake’s water levels and surrounding natural environment are favourable for crocodiles. These reptiles have been seen in and around Rangsagar and other islands of Lake Pichola. They stay away from crowded areas. Readers may recall a similar incident near Chandpol bridge a few years ago where a crocodile was sighted in Rang Talai basking in the sun.
