Tourists will now be able to enjoy horse safari at Amberi situated Bio-diversity park. State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria inaugurate the horse safari by flagging off two horse riders on Tuesday.
Deputy Forest Conservator, O P Sharma informed that this initiative will not only provide visitors a chance to enjoy the safari but will also provide the local horse riders an employment opportunity.
Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, MLA Udaipur Grameen Phool Singh Meena, Chief Forest Conservator Shikha Mehra and various Forest officials were present on the occasion.
About Biodiversity Park: The biodiversity park was developed in an area over 165 hectares of land with the help of funds allocated by Rajasthan Biodiversity Board, Jaipur. The park boasts of 63 types of trees, 117 varieties of herbs, 38 types of grass, 33 types of shrubs, 16 types of mammals, 17 varieties of reptiles, 55 bird species, 7 types of frogs and 19 types of insects etc. The park also has a wide land of sandalwood trees growing in its premises.
How to reach: The bio-diversity park is located near the Udaipur-Nathdwara route. One will have to take the Sukher route towards Nathdwara. There is a direction board on the right highlighting the bio-diversity park before the Chirwa Ghat begins.
