Representatives of Japan’s JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) toured the Biological Park at Sajjan Garh today with the forest officials of Udaipur. JICA is already funding 4 biological parks in Rajasthan at Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota and Jodhpur.

According to Dr Satish Sharma, Assistant DFO, “The representatives surveyed the biological park today morning and took all information regarding the ongoing development at Biological Park. The estimated cost of the park in Udaipur is around Rs.20 Crores.”

Every animal will get ample space to roam and will get natural environment. A special water plant will be installed for supplying drinking water to the animals.

Satish Sharma said, “We hope that the work will go smoothly now and soon all zoo animals will be shifted to the biological park.”

There will be no electrical fencing around the park. However, currently there is electrical fence installed at Sajjan Garh which gives shock to the animals after touching it.

He also informed that, the construction was started last year and during these months, the construction has faced many obstacles which delayed the work.
