In an utter horrific incident that took place last night in a village Nichla Goyra Barapal under Goverdhan Vilas Police jurisdiction, a leopard attacked a 3 year old girl and took her in the forest.

The shocking incident was witnessed by the mother of the victim girl but out of shock and fear she could not resist the beast.

Body of the child was later found lying in the jungle after hours of search operation led by the villagers.

The incident took place at around 10pm when the girl was sleeping with her mother in an open space outside their house. Suddenly a leopard came and grabbed the child with its jaws. Due to weird sound, the woman woke up and saw her child confiscated by the leopard.

According to reports, the woman got frightened seeing the horrifying scene when the leopard took away the girl into the jungle. Soon the woman cried for help and informed the villagers.

After hours of search, the body of the girl child was found under the bushes.

Goverdhan Vilas police was informed who rushed to scene and sent the body to MB Hospital’s mortuary.
