A leopard cub entered a village on Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway.

A leopard cub entered Kaya village near Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway. It was in one of the fields and even attacked 2 people. The cub was later rescued and released in the forest.

As per forest officers, a leopard cub entered village Kaya and hid behind bushes. Villagers spotted this cub and informed the forest department. A guard from the department reached the spot but he couldn’t see the cub as it got camouflaged in the field. The moment this guard reached near one of the bushes, the leopard cub attacked the guard on the back with its paw. After this the cub hid in the bushes again. A villager on the spot was also attacked in the similar way.

Rescue team of forest department also reached the spot later. The team was headed by Padam Singh Rathore from the Wild and Street Animal Rescue Society. The leopard cub was then captured by throwing a net over it. After this, the cub was tranquilised and carried away from the village. One it got back into senses, the rescue team released the leopard cub into the nearby forest.

As per the forest department the cub is around 1 year old and probably entered the village in search of food.
