Leopard spotted at Udaipur Airport

Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur had an unwelcome visitor yesterday night when CISF team spotted a leopard during their regular airport patrol.

The CISF team is deployed at airports for anti-hijacking and other security duties. The team was however in for a surprise when they spotted the animal. As per the CISF team member, the CISF bus with members was about to leave the airport at night when they spotted a leopard jumping from over the perimeter wall towards the outside wall.

Given that the leopard was spotted in operational area, a thorough screening of the area was initiated but the leopard could not be traced.

APD personnel (wildlife authority) were alerted and additional deployment was commissioned post the event.
