Zebra, giraffe and hippos soon to be seen in Sajjangarh Bio-Park.

Sajjangarh Bio Park is soon to have new attractive guests very soon. Proposal has been sent for getting giraffe, zebra and hippopotamus for the city’s bio-park which already has almost 22 species of wild life.

Once the work for second stage of bio-park is complete, public can enjoy viewing stripes (zebra), long necks (giraffe) and that 2 inch thick skinned hippos along with a few nocturnal as well. Forest department has sent proposals worth 2 crore rupees each to UIT and Municipal Corporation after getting approval from Home Minister Kataria.

As informed by CCF Rahul Bhatnagar, special enclosures will be made for these new guests. People will be able to enjoy the sight of animals which are not normally seen in this region. Forest department is now waiting for approval of their project for these new animals in bio-park. Sajjangarh Bio-Park presently has around 200 animals of 22 species.
