News of panthers in Gulab Bagh is probably a rumour
Panther pair in Gulab Bagh is possibly a rumour. No pug marks found.
Forest department has denied the probability of panthers in Gulab Bagh. They say it could be a rumour as no pug marks or any other evidence of their presence has been found in the garden area. The DFO remarked that the entire Gulab Bagh was thoroughly searched for evidence of the presence of the panthers, but nothing has been found. Public can fearlessly go to the garden. It was also stated that public had mentioned about the panther taking away a dog and a baby monkey but no evidences of the hunt have been found anywhere.
The teams are still alert and are on the lookout for the panther pair. The officers of the forest department also said that the garden had wet soil; hence there would have been pug marks had the panther pair been here.
