The Biological Park welcomed two more animals this Sunday. A pair of ostrich was bought from Veterinary College’s research farm, Chennai in Rs. 1.5 Lacs. Both the ostriches are 1.5 years old with height around 7 ft.

CCF Rahul Bhatnagar informed that prior to 1948, ostrich was present at the zoo however there is no official record to back up this fact.

DFO T. Mohan said that covering a distance of 2100 Km, the team reached Udaipur from Chennai on Sunday with the pair of ostrich and released them in the enclosure of the park.
