Panther enters farm house-Rescued in 4 hours
A panther made its way into a farm house in Gogunda.
A panther made its way into a farm house in Gogunda. It took 4 hours for the rescue team to rescue the panther. There was a rally going past a farm house at Jaglia Mahudi crossing when a panther entered the farm house. People in the rally got too curious and left the rally just to take a look at this wild beast.
When the rally crowd collected near the farm house, the panther probably got scared and entered the barn made inside the farm house. Police patrol going with the rally entered the barn so as to stop the panther from attacking people. It was around 11 a.m. when this panther entered the farm house which belongs to Mangi Lal Khatik.
Seeing the huge crowd, the panther hid inside the farm house. Police were worried that the crowd might inure the animal by throwing stones or the panther might pounce on people out of fear and the situation might go out of control.Rescue team was called who tranquilised the wild beast before leaving it back into the forest. The entire process took almost 4 hours for the team to tranquilise the panther.
The panther’s estimated age was hardly a year and a half. On Friday morning, some women passerby saw the animal sitting near the gates of farm house and informed guard Mushtaq. Mushtaq took away all the grazing animals of the farm house to a secure place. After this he left for his Friday rituals speculating that the animal would leave on its own.
When the rescue team headed by Satnam Singh from Udaipur Forest Department reached the spot, they were worried to see the huge crowd. It was getting difficult for them to manage the crowd which was too curious to see the panther. Police helped the rescue team in keeping the crowd away before finally taking the beast in control.
