After more than two days of rescue operation, a leopard was safely pulled out from a dried well at Kumbhalgarh’s Village Dabkudiya; the animal was reportedly seen inside the well on Thursday evening.

After more than two days of rescue operation, a leopard was safely pulled out from a dried well at Kumbhalgarh’s Village Dabkudiya; the animal was reportedly seen inside the well on Thursday evening.

Several attempts of rescuing the leopard were failing as rescue team head by Padam Singh Rathore tried to save the animal who was also wounded. Finally the wild life expert Satnam Singh tranquilized the leopard and pulled her out of the well.

Large number of people from nearby villages gathered near the well to have a glance of the leopard. Teams of forest department, police and local volunteers coordinated to control the situation.

According to sources, few villagers noticed a leopard in the 80 feet deep well on Thursday. Soon the news spread like jingle fire and the administration was alerted.

Udaipur’s Padam Singh Rathore was called to the spot, Rathore tried several ways to rescue the animal but all attempts failed. Finally shooter Satnam Singh tried to tranquilize and after few shots, the leopard was controlled and pulled out.

Some villagers assume that the animal accidentally fell inside the dry well.
