Safari park in Trident hotel closed for ever
Trident safari park shut down for ever.
Trident Hotel safari park has been shut down for ever. The mini zoo does not exist anymore. Forest department has shifted the remaining surviving 7 cheetal to Baghdara Nature Park. This was done on the instructions of Central Zoo Authority.
CCF Rahul Bhatnagar said that due to a number of cheetal dying in Trident safari park, it was decided by the Central Zoo Authority that the safari park be closed and animals be shifted elsewhere. Following the doubtful death of 17 cheetals within 5 months in safari park in 2015, the authorities had investigated the area and forwarded the instructions to close down the safari park.
Reasons behind the dying cheetals could not be known since only skeletons of the dead animals were discovered. Hoping that the remaining 7 cheetals will survive well in the new habitat…
