A seriously injured crocodile was brought to the Gulab Bagh Zoo today, after being rescued from Chittorgarh subsequent to being hit by an unknown vehicle.

According to Dr. Pradeep Pradhan of Gulab Bagh Zoo, Chittorgarh’s forest officials found the reptile lying on a road near Gambai Dam of Chittorgarh. The crocodile was seriously injured and after initial treatment was shifted to Gulab Bagh.

“The reptile is not responding to medicine and there are three major injuries including one on the head, jaw and on the right eye”, said Dr. Pradhan. He added that the chances of survival for the reptile are low.
