A wounded leopard entered Udaipur-Pindwara highway on Sunday. Probably this leopard was hit by a vehicle as a result of which it got injured. The leopard made its way into a drain at the highway. 2 passers-by spotted this leopard which appeared lifeless to them. They made an attempt to take a selfie with it. The moment these 2 bike riders went near the leopard, the beast pounced on to them and grabbed one of the youths.

This youth somehow managed to free himself from the clutches of the leopard. His companion also got injured as he fell while trying to run away from the site. They informed the residents of the area who in turn informed police and forest department.

Since a huge crowd had gathered by this time, it became difficult for the team to control the leopard. The beast hid behind bushes after seeing the crowd. It took almost half an hour for the team to tranquilise the leopard.

The leopard was given medical aid since it was badly wounded. It has been kept in the biological park and will be released in the forest once it recovers. It was a relief though that the leopard was wounded else it could have attacked the masses which could have proved to be even more dangerous.
