A 35-year-old man succumbed to injuries today at M.B. Hospital, after been hit by a school bus yesterday 17 Nov, while he was on his way to Zawar Mines; the incidence took place at Balicha.

According to police, Dhanraj Gameti, resident of Balicha was a labor working at M.B. hospital. Yesterday evening Dhanraj left home to go to his sister’s house at Zawar Mines to attend the Chowth function.

On his way, at around 6 pm when Dhanraj reached near the Lake city Petrol Pump at Balicha, the bus operating for Indo-American School hit him head on. The Bus driver fled from the spot abandoning the school bus on the spot.

Police responded on the scene and took the bus under their custody. Injured Dhanraj was shifted to M.B. hospital, where he was declared dead today by the doctors.

The body of victim was shifted to mortuary and later handed over to his family after postmortem.

Police has registered a case of accident against the driver of the school bus and initiated the search.
