In a tragic incident today, a marble slab weighing many a tons fell over two labourers killing them on the spot.

The deceased, Manoj Singh and Vinod, both residents of Basti district of Uttar Pradesh were working at Madhusudan Marbles, Amberi. Today when both were busy in their work, a truck while reversing, hit a large slab of marble that fell directly on Manoj and Vinod working nearby, crushing them badly.

The duo died on the spot. The bodies have been shifted to mortuary and families informed, said Police.
