3 Die of Electric Shock after Bus Hits High Voltage Wire

A private bus caught into a high voltage wire killing three people on the spot and leaving many injured. Deceased includes the bus owner, bus driver and a female passenger. The accident took place near village Semari, about 85km from Udaipur today. Five of the severely injured have been referred to Udaipur’s MB Hospital.

A private bus caught into a high voltage wire killing three people on the spot and leaving many injured. Deceased includes the bus owner, bus driver and a female passenger. The accident took place near village Semari, about 85km from Udaipur today. Five of the severely injured have been referred to Udaipur’s MB Hospital.

According to sources, the mishap happened when the bus lost its control and went off the road hitting high voltage electricity wires (1100 wts ).

As soon as the bus touched the wire, electric current passed inside the bus electrocuting many passengers. The intensity of the current was so powerful that three people died on the spot and five got severely injured.

Few children also received minor injuries and were discharged after giving first aid at Semari hospital.

The bodies of deceased have been kept at the Semari hospital, informed police.

Bus was heading towards Salumbar from Kesriyaji Village.

The injured admitted at M.B hospital were identified as Sunil (18), Bheru (25), residents of Sagatpura, Suresh (22) resident of Delana Village, Hemlata (20) resident of Dhankavara and Fatah Singh (70) from Ranawat Vara Village.
