Three women passengers got injured in an auto rickshaw-van crash that took place today at Swaroop Sagar road. One of the victim women is in critical condition while the auto driver fled away from the spot.

Accident took place due to alleged negligence of auto rickshaw driver as he was reportedly busy looking at the waterfall while driving and hit a maruti van coming from the opposite direction. The crash was so stern that all three women passengers in the auto fell on the road.

One of the victims, Durga Devi Verma (55) resident of Gandhi Nagar, Mulla Talai, received serious head injuries as her head hit the bridge.

The van driver, Om Prakash Barber, an advocate was returning home from the court. He said that the rickshaw driver was driving inattentively and did not respond when he was blowing the horn and crushed directly into the van.

Sadly, nobody from the crowd who were seeing the waterfall came forward to help the victim women. However, a man approached to assist the victims and rushed them to hospital in an auto rickshaw.

Due to the lake overflow, a large number of people were gathered at Swaroop Sagar Bridge which is also creating problem for motorists.

Till writing this news, no police complaint has been lodged against anyone. Both accident vehicles were also at the scene.
