Three people riding on a motorcycle died on the spot when a speeding truck troller hit their motorcycle. The mishap took place last night at Kharpina, on Udaipur-Ahmedabad road.

Angry over the accident, villagers blocked the highway and demanded compensation for the deceased. The accused truck driver fled away leaving the truck few kilometers away from the accident spot.

The highway was opened after senior police officers intervened and controlled the tense situation.

All victims, Shyamu (30), Lakhma (22) and Gautam (20), residents of Badi Undri were returning from a marriage ceremony.

A 27-year-old man died in another road accident that took place at Kumharon ka Bhatta last night. The deceased Sohan Singh (27), resident of Dabok was accompanied with his friend on motorcycle, when a matador suddenly hit their bike head on.

Both, Sohan and his friend got injured and were rushed to hospital by a passerby. Sohan succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
